Joshua Tree Sunset Silhouette • 7/6/2024
f/9 • 1/400 sec • ISO 400
A dark bird perches among the unmistakable silhouettes of Joshua trees, set against a glowing orange sunset. The bird's upright shape stands out near the center, while the irregular branches and spiky foliage create a layered foreground. Warm amber light fills the sky behind the silhouettes, gradually fading into softer tones toward the upper edge of the frame. The contrast between the dark shapes and the brilliant background gives the image a graphic quality, emphasizing form, texture, and the desert light as it fades.
Available Formats
This artwork is available in extra-durable aluminum, museum-quality acrylic, specially selected archival paper, or super-sticky stickers. METAL PRINT WITH FLOAT MOUNT IS MOST RECOMMENDED; it is durable enough to hang outdoors without noticeable fading for two years and is easy to hang in any location. My photographs are shot, edited, and finished specifically with metal in mind. All options look amazing. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to make a special request.
I recommend metal or acrylic prints for the best quality, offering exceptional depth, contrast, and clarity that bring out subtle textures in the landscape. They are high-performance and highly durable. Each photograph is printed from the original photograph with careful attention to tonal range and detail. Designed to preserve subtle shifts in light and texture, each print invites slow viewing and long-term appreciation.
Craft & Production
Photographed and edited by the artist Neal Covert. Each print is hand-signed and professionally printed, ensuring consistent color accuracy and archival quality.
