Fire on the Mountain Sunset • 5/31/2025
f/6.3 • 1/640 sec • ISO 5000
A dark mountain ridgeline cuts across the horizon beneath an intensely colored evening sky. Deep blue and purple clouds rise above a brilliant reddish-orange glow, as if light is spreading upward from behind the mountains. The silhouetted ridge remains almost entirely black, allowing the rich colors and unusual cloud formations to dominate the scene. The contrast between the dark landscape and luminous sky creates an intense atmosphere, capturing a brief moment of dramatic color along the mountain horizon.
Available Formats
This artwork is available in extra-durable aluminum, museum-quality acrylic, specially selected archival paper, or super-sticky stickers. METAL PRINT WITH FLOAT MOUNT IS MOST RECOMMENDED; it is durable enough to hang outdoors without noticeable fading for two years and is easy to hang in any location. My photographs are shot, edited, and finished specifically with metal in mind. All options look amazing. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to make a special request.
I recommend metal or acrylic prints for the best quality, offering exceptional depth, contrast, and clarity that bring out subtle textures in the landscape. They are high-performance and highly durable. Each photograph is printed from the original photograph with careful attention to tonal range and detail. Designed to preserve subtle shifts in light and texture, each print invites slow viewing and long-term appreciation.
Craft & Production
Photographed and edited by the artist Neal Covert. Each print is hand-signed and professionally printed, ensuring consistent color accuracy and archival quality.
